So Who's Winning?

I stumbled upon a great website fivethirtyeight.com
It runs simulations of the election and tells you what percentage a candidate wins. It currently has Obama winning over 90 % of the time. It is a really good site and you should check it out. Also, realclearpolitics.com currently has the electoral race at Obama/Biden 353 and McCain/Palin 185.

This means in all likeliness in 20 some days, America will actually elect an African-American as president of the United States.

Bill Ayers

The McCain campaign has recently been hammering the fact that Barack Obama is 'friends' with a domestic terrorist. While this likely won't work with independents or undecideds, it has worked quite well with people already in the tank for McCain. Not only do they buy the attack, but they are now calling Obama a terrorist and yelling out 'kill him' during McCain rallies. It may be because everyone tends to believe their guy, but I think the reason it works so well with the republican crowd is because Obama is different to them. McCain walks a fine line by opening up this can of worms. He won't win any new votes, but he will validate the fears of those who already cringe at an Obama presidency. I believe this is the stepping stone to an even more divided country. 50 % of America will hate/fear the president. The fact is that both candidates have people in their past that are a little spooky. But the media isn't talking about those McCain associations. I constantly watch CNN, and all they are talking about right now is Bill Ayers. It seems that McCain palling around with anti-semites, racists, extremists and nazis is not news. Why? Once again because McCain looks like you and me. It is the scary outsider who has to prove himself.

Obama is an Arab?

Are they really surprised this happened? I mean they are the ones trying to connect Obama to a terrorist...
